This in-progress map traces transfers of dogs by and between U.S. dog breeders, dealers, and research facilities.
The transfers are documented in public records obtained by or shared with Rise for Animals, including records from state agencies and public research institutions. Each arc on the map connects a seller or supplier of dogs to a buyer or recipient. Hover over an arc to learn more. Shipments from Ridglan Farms, which closed earlier this year, are not included.
This map reflects only the records we have obtained so far. It shows part of the pipeline, not all of it, and it will grow as more records come in.
Help us fill in the map! If you have records documenting the sale or transfer of dogs to laboratories—such as health certificates, invoices, purchase orders, or shipping records—please share them with us. We are happy to credit you, if you’d like. Each record brings more of this dark trade into view.
